Shooting of SD Rubel, Bobby’s film almost complete

SD Rubel, popularly known as a singer to all, has paired up with lustrous actress Bobby for a government-grant film titled ‘Briddhashram’. DhakaLive has news that almost 70% works of the film has been completed. The shooting of the film has begun last year under the direction of Swapan Chowdhury. But due to the illness of Swapan Chowdhury, SD Rubel has taken the responsibility to complete the film under his direction.
Produced by Lora Talukder, the screenplay of the film is written by Kamal Sarkar. The film producer has received 40 lakh taka as a grant in four installments. SD Rubel said the government should increase their grant for the film like ‘Briddhashram’. In the film, SD Rubel will be playing an unemployed individual who is dedicated towards social causes, while Bobby will be playing the role of a social activist.
Making his entry into the acting world in 2011 through Muntazur Rahman Akbar’s film ‘Eybhabey Bhalobasa Hoye Jay’, SD Rubel received immense praise for his acting skills. This time around, he is directing the film too. SD Rubel said, “Earlier, I have made more than thirty social awareness television commercials, more than thirty magazine shows and numerous music videos. So my experience regarding directing is quite good.  In our country making of films based on social story has almost stopped. For that reason, I have thought a story on old age home.” Bobby said regarding acting in the film, “I read the story before. I felt pathetic while shooting at old age home. I would not believable how badly the parents pass their life in the old age home, if I did not see in my own eye. After seeing it, I have involved myself with the film more deeply.” SD Rubel informed that ‘Briddhashram’ will most likely see its release this year.
