Four-time National Film Award winning composer-music director Emon Saha, an eligible heir to late legendary musician Satya Saha, have been working very hard for the country’s films since 1998. Following the footstep of his father, he created countless popular songs those have been used in the films. With his all brilliant works, Emon Saha made a firm position in the country’s music scene. As a result, he has to remain very busy with the work of films every now and then. DhakaLive has news that in the recent times, Emon Saha is spending busy time with the music direction and background music of a number of films, including Badrul Anam Soud’s ‘Gahin Baluchar’, ‘Nader Chowdhury’s ‘Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe’, ‘Shamim Ahmed Roni’s ‘Dhattiriki’, ‘Jakir Hossain Raju’s ‘Premi O Premi’, Wahiduzzaman Diamond’s ‘Shesh Kotha’, ‘Shah Alam Mandal’s ‘Sadakalo Prem’, ‘Apan Manush’, Animesh Aiche’s ‘Bhoyonkor Sundor’, Debashish Biswas’ ‘Tej’, Bulbul Biswas’ and ‘Rajniti’.
Besides, he is likely to involve himself with yet another new film ‘Dulabhai Zindabad’ directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar from today.
Emon Saha, who has already worked in about 300 films till now, said, “The overall condition of our films has been improved a lot nowadays. For example, the songs and background music of ‘Premi O Premi’—a recent film accomplished in my composition and music direction—have earned huge appreciation from the audience. Because, the standard of the work these days has been increased, which I can understand easily when I compare this work to any other old works done five years ago.” Though Emon Saha primarily involved himself in music direction with his father in the film Shah Alam Kiran-directed ‘Churiwala’, he made his debut as a music director with Gazi Mazharul Anwar’s film ‘Poradhin’ in 1998. Singers Palash and Dithi Anwar were the first singers in his maiden venture. But many prominent singers like James, Bappa Majumdar, Kaniz Suborna, Tishma, Nolok, Salma’, Sonia, Razib, Kishore and others made their debut in the playback singing under his direction. To note, as a music director, Emon Saha won the National Film Awards for the films ‘Chandragrahan’ and ‘Ghetuputro Komla’ and as a music composer he was awarded for the films ‘Kusum Kusum Prem’ and ‘Pita’.
