Bangladeshi short film ‘Kobi Swamir Mrityur Por Amar Jobanbondi’, written and directed by Tasmiah Afrin Mou and produced by Rubaiyat Hossain, won ‘Jury Special Mention Award’ at the 15th edition of the Third Eye Asian Film Festival, held from December 15 to 22 in Mumbai, India. The announcement has been made on the closing day of the festival at the Rabindra Natya Mondir in Mumbai on December 22.
The film portrays the emotions of a recently widowed woman who’s having a feeling of deliverance after the death of her poet husband. The cast of the film includes Dilruba Hossain Doyel, Ali Ahsan, Maria, Raita and Irin Parvin. National award winning editor and sound designer Sujan Mahmud is the editor and sound designer of the film, and Imranul Islam is the director of photography. The film is a production of Khona Talkies.
Earlier the film has won ‘Tareque Shahriar Best Independent Shorts’ award at the 14th International Short and Independent Film Festival (ISIFF). Besides, the film has its world premiere International Competition of the 34th Festival Tous Courts in Aix-en-Provence, France on November 30.
