Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi is scheduled to visit Ukhia upazila of the Cox’s Bazar district today to witness the Rohingya situation over there, UNB reports. Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali will accompany his Indonesian counterpart and they both will fly to Ukhia by helicopter and have some meetings there. The Indonesian Foreign Minister is scheduled to arrive here at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9:20pm on Monday to discuss Rohingya issues with her Bangladesh counterpart, Foreign Ministry officials said.
Marsudi will have a bilateral meeting with her Bangladesh counterpart Mahmood Ali on Tuesday morning before leaving for Ukhia. In the evening, the Indonesian minister will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban before leaving Dhaka. She will leave Dhaka at 10pm on Tuesday.
Marsudi embarked on a two-day mission to Myanmar and Bangladesh in search of a lasting solution to the dire situation of Rohingyas in Rakhine state of Myanmar.
