brings array of stars under one roof

Not only I, but also names like Salman Shah, Mousumi, Shabnur, Ferdous, Riaz, Shakil, Popy and Purnima would not be introduced to the film industry. With their debut film ‘Chandni, Naim-Shabnaz, as a successful young duo, started a new era in the country’s filmdom”, popular film actor Omar Sani expressed his reaction while attending the silver jubilee celebration of once super-hit film ‘Chandni’.
This is really rare to see so many artistes from both small and big screen together in one programme. Who was not there? Most of the popular faces of the country’s showbiz were seen joining the event with much enthusiasm. No doubt, it was more than a mesmerising gathering of the stars from the country’s showbiz, where artistes from different generations came under one roof. Then, a documentary on the life and work of late noted filmmaker Ehteshamur Rahman was screened at the programme. Next, a documentary on the celebrity couple Naim and Shabnaz was shown.

Today, at this programme on the occasion of 25 years celebration of the film, many memories like these have been recalled. The duo does not act any more. But it’s a wonderful matter that they still think about film.”
Wishing the film ‘Chandni’, among others, director Azizur Rahman, Syed Salahuddin Jaki, Umayer Siddique--grandson of director Mustafizur Rahman, Mahadia--younger daughter of Naim-Shabna, film actors Mousumi and Ferdous spoke at the programme.

Expressing their gratitude to the invited guests, Naim-Shabnaz said, “Your cordial presence has truly proven today that you all love us from your heart. Without your immense love, today’s Chandni evening would have not been created. We want to live for decades in this way.”
