During his hectic tour to Bangladesh, Chinese President Xi Jinping will be treated with both Bangali and Chinese delicacies at a banquet to be hosted by his Bangladesh counterpart Md Abdul Hamid at the latter’s official residence Bangabhaban tonight. Popular Bangladeshi dishes Kachchi Biryani and Malaichop would be offered to Xi Jinping at his seven-course dinner that would also include three different main courses. The food will be served to the Chinese president from the kitchen of hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka.
Of the three main courses, one will be prepared with Chinese eel fish accompanied by vegetable and sauce. Another course will contain Kachchi Biryani, Shami Kebab, and Chutney while the other course will comprise of beef, white rice, vegetable and sauce, Head of Catering of hotel Sonargaon Anwarul Azim told The Independent. Before serving the main course, appetisers and soup prepared with mushroom and chicken will be served to the state guest, he said. He added that Malaichop and seasonal fresh fruits would be served in dessert. For refreshment, at least 12 varieties of tea and coffee, including green tea and Chinese tea, would be served to the guests, Azim added.
