Elora Gahar to appear in 4 films

National Film Award winning actress Elora Gahar, renowned for her stellar performance in the film ‘Surja Dighal Bari’,  will be appearing in four new films and the actress is very excited. She recently completed the work for the film ‘Pashan’, directed by Saikat Nasir and ‘Bhromor’, directed by Sohel Arman. DhakaLive has news that at the end of the current month, she will also begin the work for the film ‘Bhalo Theko, directed by Zakir Hussain Raju. However, she is extremely excited about the film ‘Alga Nangar’, written and directed by Wahid Tareq. The shooting of the film was completed in January of last year. Elora Gahar played one of the main characters in the film.
The award winning actress shared her thoughts, “I can say that ‘Surja Dighal Bari’ is the most outstanding film of my career.For my role as Maimuna in the film, I was honoured with the National Film Award as well as the Bachsas (Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity) Award. The film was directed by Masihuddin Shaker and and Sheikh Neyamat Ali. A film of that stature is very limited in Bangladesh and hardly any such film of that standard has been made. However, I must say that ‘Alga Nangar’ is a film that matches up to that standard. I saw glimpses of  Masihuddin Shaker and and Sheikh Neyamat Ali in Wahid Tareq. That is why I am very hopeful and excited about this film. It could very well be the film that will keep me in the hearts and minds of the viewers after ‘Surja Dighal Bari’.”
Daughter of late actress Roushan Jamil and freedom fighter, lyricist and poet Nayeem Gahar, Elora Gahar achieved fame by winning the prestigious National Film Award for her captivating role in ‘Surja Dighal Bari’ in 1979. That same year she also won the Bachsas award.
