University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) will participate in the Red Bull Campus Cricket World Finals to be held in Colombo from September 5 to 11.
Eight cricket playing nations are taking part this year to battle it out for the World Championship. The participating teams are: ULAB, Bangladesh; Business Management School (BMS), Sri Lanka; University of Sydney, Australia; Loughborough University, England; Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of Commerce (MMCC College), India; University of Central Punjab, Pakistan; Assupol TuksCricket, University of Pretoria, South Africa; Heriot Watt University, Dubai, UAE.
Bangladesh, Australia, England, India, Pakistan, South Africa, UAE will arrive in Sri Lanka September 3 to participate in this tournament to be played at Galle International Stadium, Colombo.
ULAB is the T20 Private University Cricket Champion 2016 in Bangladesh; by this the championship the organisers invited ULAB in this tournament. ULAB also played the same tournament in 2012 in Sri Lanka.
Lt Col (retd) Md. Foyzul Islam, Registrar, stated all at a press conference at the ULAB auditorium in the capital yesterday. Team captain Md. Hasanuzzaman also spoke on the occasion.
