Master roll staff of LGED demand job regularisation

At least 78 employees who served on master roll basis at Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) in Kushtia have been passing their days in great hardship. Many of such families are forced to leave the town as they did not get salary for 8 to 10 months. Most of the staff have been serving for over 11 years. They demanded regular payment of their salaries and regularisation of their jobs. Earlier people were employed on master role basis by LGED authorities. Later, the authorities regularised job of some staff following High Court order as a writ petition was filed by Rokonuddin, a driver of the LGED department, in 2012 for immediate regularisation of their jobs.
