Kumar Biswajit sings remake of iconic song Tumi Roj Bikele

Time sure does fly. It has been 35 long years since the National Film Award winning singer and music director Kumar Biswajits career skyrocketed to new levels through the hit iconic song Tumi Roj Bikele Amar Bagane Phul Nite Aste, Jani Na Tumi Phul Na Amakey Beshi Bhalobaste. The song was penned down by Mahfuzur Rahman Mahfuz and tuned by Sheikh Sadi. The song received such immense popularity and fame that Mamunur Rashid directed a commercial for Sword Blade with Biswajit as the model.
He has been synonymous with that song. In every concert or stage show that Biswajit has participated, he had to perform the song. Now, DhakaLive has news that Tumi Roj Bikele has taken a new life, keeping the future music scene in mind. Kumar Biswajit informed that DJ Rahat and Masum have remixed the song in a club song format and in a contemporary style. That version will be presented by Biswajit in the popular Eid magazine programme Anandamela during Eid on BTV (Bangladesh Television).
Biswajit shared his thoughts, That particular song was a milestone in my career decades ago. The song elevated my status as an artiste to the viewers and listeners. Decades later, even the audiences of this generation are familiar with it. Thinking about the future music fans, I have decided for the remixed version of the song. I believe that the people will appreciate it. However, my fans should have nothing to worry about as I did not move away from the main theme and tune of the song. I have a wish to do the same with some of my other hit songs.
The viewers will get to watch the new version of Tumi Roj Bikele during Eid day in Anandamela on BTV after the 10pm news. l
