Riaz, Kusum, Milon together in ‘Istar Mofiz’

For audience-admired actress Kusum Sikdar, among the many tele-dramas and drama serials that she appeared in with various co-artistes, she worked with Anisur Rahman Milon the most. However, she has never had the the opportunity to work alongside National Film Award winning actor Riaz on screen. That is until now. Kusum Sikdar finally had the chance to act alongside Riaz, who played the title guest role in an Eid special tele-drama titled ‘Istar Mofiz’. Anisur Rahman Milon also played a pivotal role in the tele-drama. Written by Brindabon Das, Sokal Ahmed has directed the tele-drama. The shooting of the tele-drama began from June 20 in Pubail in the outskirts of the capital. In the story of the tele-drama, it will be seen that Kusum and Riaz live in the same village and Kusum liked Riaz from childhood. However, in his pursuit of one day becoming a ‘Istar’, Riaz leaves the village to go to the city. He then finally becomes one, and Kusum still loves him the same way. Also, Anisur Rahman Milon, who wants to participate in the elections, makes extravagant arrangements to welcome Riaz and commemorate his success. He wants to bring Riaz to the village and at the same time establish his strong position for the elections. The story moves forward from there.
Regarding the tele-drama, Riaz said, “Even though my part in the tele-drama is like a guest appearance, I had an amazing time working in it. This is the very first time that I have worked alongside Kusum Sikdar in a tele-drama.”
Kusum Sikdar said, “Back in 2007, I participated in a stage show with Riaz outside the country. We also worked together for six months as judges in a reality show. I had a great time this time working with him on the small screen. He is very friendly and cooperative and a great co-artiste to work with.”
Anisur Rahman Milon said, “I had a wonderful time working alongside Riaz for this tele-drama. He is a very humble person. And with Kusum Sikdar, whenever we work together on screen, it is always a fun experience.”
For the occasion of Eid, Kusum Sikdar has acted in the seven-episode drama serial titled ‘Ami Tumi Tumi Ami’, directed by Ejaj Munna, which will be aired on NTV.
Also, for the occasion of Eid, Riaz has worked under the direction of Sokal Ahmed for the tele-dramas titled ‘Remote Control Car’ and ‘Sisters’.
Anisur Rahman Milon also worked under the direction of Sokal Ahmed for the occasion of Eid in the tele-dramas titled ‘Sonar Kathi Rupar Kathi’, ‘Upojukta Chor Patro Chai’, ‘Sako’ and ‘Opekkha Tomar Jonno’.
‘Istar Mofiz’ will be aired on Banglavision during Eid.
