The first Bangladesh Informa-tion Security Exhibition & Conference (BISEC) convened yesterday to discuss cyber security and risk management with special emphasis on information security for Bangladesh.
The conference gathered to increase awareness on cyber security threats and building capabilities to secure a prosperous digital future through innovation and engagement.
State Minister for Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, was present while Kazi Monirul Kabir, chief innovation officer, Spider Digital Innovations, convened the BISEC Initiative. Amar Singh, founder of Cyber Management Alliance Ltd; and Fahad Kabir, Cyber Security Leader, Ernst & Young Canada and Advisory Board Director, SureNext, were among the keynote speakers.
Also speaking at the conference were national and international dignitaries and experts such as Abu Hena Mohammad Razi Hasan, chief of Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank among others. The exhibition’s primary focus was on the financial industry – it engaged participation of around 300 management-level bankers, financial experts, technologists.
