Chinese Defense Minister General Chang Wanquan yesterday arrived in Dhaka on a three day visit to strengthen defense cooperation between the two friendly countries-Bangladesh and China. General Chang Wanquan is leading a 39-member delegation. Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq welcomed the Chinese delegation at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division (AFD) Lieutenant General Mahfuzur Rahman and senior military officers were present at the airport. This will be a first visit of any Chinese Defense Minister in Bangladesh during the last eight years. He will hold meetings with chiefs of three services to discuss future defense cooperation apart from the meetings President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
