Purnima in Eid special tele-drama �Gopan�

A National Film Award winning actress Purnima has been keeping herself busy ever since making her return after a long hiatus. Besides announcing her return to film, the actress is also busy for her return on the small screen by working in several Eid special tele-dramas. Among her upcoming ventures, Purnima will be appearing in an Eid special tele-drama titled ‘Gopan’, written by Shafikur Rahman Shantunu and directed by Topu. She will be acting alongside Anisul Rahman Milon in the tele-drama. DhakaLive has news that the shooting of this tele-drama began yesterday at the shooting house ‘Swapnil-2’ in the capital’s Uttara area.
Purnima spoke about the importance of liking a story, “Enjoying the story is like enjoying the work itself. I get excited when I work in something where the story has impressed me. I liked the story written by Shafikur Rahman Shantunu and found it intriguing enough to work in it. I hope that it turns out to be positive.”
This is the fifth time that Purnima and Milon will be working together. They first appeared together in a telefilm ‘Nandini O Oshamapto Galpo’, written by Shahruk Shahid and directed by SA Haque Aliq. The shooting of this telefilm took place in Cox’s Bazar. After that, the duo appeared in three tele-dramas together under the same director. Purnima recently completed the work for another Eid special tele-drama titled ‘Love and Kong’ directed by Masud Sejan. The shooting took place in Srimangal.
She is set to make her comeback on the big screen with the film titled ‘Bandho Darja’, which will be directed by actor Shahriar Nazim Joy. The actress has recently signed an agreement for working in the film. The story of ‘Bandho Darja’ will be centred on autistic children. Purnima last appeared in the movie titled ‘Lobhe Paap, Paap e Mrittu’, where she acted opposite Riaz and Amin Khan. To note, for her amazing performance in ‘Ora Amake Bhalo Hathe Dilona’, Purnima earned the National Film Award for best actress in 2010. She is currently awaiting the release of her yet another film ‘Chhaya’ directed by Mustafa
Kamal Raj.
