The government has nationalized 25,807 registered primary schools out of 26,193 and enlisted 91,000 teachers in the gazette under the nationalization programme across the country, reports BSS. "The government will undertake initiative to nationalise all of the 26,193 registered primary schools by 2015 as per the nationalization policy," Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman told the House yesterday. Replying to a question from treasury bench member Mohammad Subid Ali Bhuiyan in the Jatiya Sangsad, he said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced to nationalise 26,193 registered primary schools. The Minister informed the House that the government has nationalized 533 non-government registered primary schools in the first step of the third phase.
