The 300th episode of ‘Noashal’, an immensely popular drama serial on RTV, will be aired tonight. Scripted by Akash Ranjan, the drama serial has been directed by audience-admired actor-turned-director Mir Sabbir. ‘Noashal’ is being aired every Monday to Wednesday at 9:05pm on RTV. The drama serial has a star-studded cast, including ATM Shamsuzzaman, Khairul Alam Sabuj, Chitralekha Guha, Dolly Zohur, Aliraj, Mir Sabbir, Rawnak Hasan, Faruk Ahmed, Naznin Hasan Chumki, Ahona, Nisha, Binay Bhadra, Amin Azad, Subhashis Bhoumik, Badal Haider and Dev Mithu. Mainly, the story of the drama serial began with two influential persons of Mohanpur village. They are Shahabuddin and Kubbat Ali, hail from Noakhali and Barisal. One runs a brick business and another one is involved in sand trading. Each of them has one son and one daughter, and two neighbouring families live closely together for a long time. Two families have a wonderful relationship and sometimes, they also get involved into quarrel on different issues. Villagers have an attraction about these two families for their interesting activities and their quarrel is also a source of enjoyment for the villagers.
Sometimes, over-excitement on different issues pulls two families into quarrel, but then again, forgetting their clashes they live happily like earlier. As the members of these two families are from Noakhali and Barisal region, the villagers fondly call them ‘Noa-shal’ together. Mainly, the drama serial tries to portray entire Bangladesh through laugh-tears, joy-sorrows, happiness, pain and clashes of the two families. That is why, ‘Noashal’ is not merely a name of a drama serial, but also this is the ultimate reflection of the whole Bangladesh.
Mir Sabbir said about the drama serial, “‘Noashal’ has been gaining more popularity day by day, thus I am also getting afraid every day. Because I have to produce much better dramas for the viewers in the future.” l
