Diploma Course in Tax Management (DTM) has been introduced at Banking and Insurance Department of Dhaka University (DU) in cooperation with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Bangladesh, reports BSS. Vice-Chancellor Arefin Siddique inaugurated the course as the chief guest at a function at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban. Dean of Business Studies Faculty Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam presided over the function while Regional Director of ACCA Stuart Dunlop, Member of NBR (National Board of Revenue) Md Abdur Razzak and Country Representative of ACCA, Bangladesh Mahua Rashid addressed it as the special guests. Prof Arefin said tax is part of the social contact of government. He urged the diploma students to act as social ambassadors to create tax awareness among the people.
