The passing rate of Junior School Certificate (JSC) under different education boards has increased compared to last year's result. The pass rate if Chittagong this year rose to 85.48 per cent from last year's 84.29 per cent. According to the result sheet under Rajshahi and Barisal, the rate of success of girls in all aspects that is pass-percentage and GPA-5 rate is higher than boys this year. Chittagong: A total of 85.48 per cent students in Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) passed this year and this is 1.19 per cent more compared to last year's result, reports BSS. The board authority has published the results at a press conference at its conference hall here yesterday noon with Board controller Dr Pijush Dutto in the chair. The board saw 170,716 students appearing from 1186 institutions under 204 centres in the exam this year. A total of one lakh 43 thousand and 939 students passed from Chittagong Education Board this year. The pass rate this year rose to 85.48 per cent from last year's 84.29 per cent. Among the institutions, 158 achieved 100 per cent pass rate while two witnessed a zero pass rate. The number of GPA-5 achievers this year is 12,268 which is 1781 more than the previous year and 7.29 per cent of the total result. Of those receiving GPA-5 the male are 5399 while female 6869. The percentage of pass in male students is 86.58 percent while female students are 84.58 per cent. The percentage of pass in the schools of city area is 91.64 pc while 82.35pc students from the schools out of the city area came out successful except hill districts.
Among the districts, the pass rate was 90.02 per cent for Cox's Bazar, 81, for Rangamati, 85.37, for Khagrachari and 77.98, for the Bandarban.
Dr Pijush Kanti Dutto, Secretary of Chittagong Education Board expressed his satisfaction over the result.
Another report adds from Rajshahi: A total of 97.47 per cent students passed the Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations under Rajshahi Education Board this year which was 95.32 per cent last year.
As many as 2,18,084 students came out successful under the Rajshahi Education Board this year. Of the 2,23,754 students appearing in the examinations, 35,083 students including 18,718 girls secured GPA-5 this year under the board while 23,606 students including 12,122 girls obtained GPA-5 last year.
The board authority announced the results at a press conference at its conference hall here this noon with College Inspector Dr Anwarul Haque Pramanik in the chair.
According to the result sheet, the rate of success of girls in all aspects that is pass-percentage and GPA-5 rate is higher than boys this year.
Controller of Examinations Prof Shamsul Kalam Azad told the press conference that 2,23,754 students including 1,14,767 girls appeared at the examination in 211 centers from 2,891 schools in eight districts under the board this year.
Another report adds: Rajshahi division has achieved top position among the seven divisions in terms of pass rate as 99 per cent examinees under the division have become successful in the Primary School Certificate (PSC) examinations this year.
Khulna division secured second position with 98.97 per cent pass while 98.74 percent students passed in Dhaka division, 98.41 per cent in Chittagong division, 98.30 per cent in Barisal division, 96.79 per cent in Sylhet diviison and 98.56 per cent in Rangpur division, according to the results published yesterday.
STAFF REPORTER adds from, Barisal: Result of Junior School Certificate examination (JSC) under Barisal Education Board (BEB) was published yesterday with the percentage of pass being 97.26. At the same time a total of 13,646 students received GPA-5. The number of GPA-5 increased this year than last year.
However, 3172 registered students did not appear and 2904 examines failed in the JSC exams under BEB this year.
In JSC 2015 under BEB girls did better than boys as girls received 6561 GP-5 this year but boys received 4903 GPA-5. However pass per cent of girls is 97.72 while boys received 97.77 per cent.
BEB sources said 2904 out of 106,085 examinees failed in the examinations this year.
13,464 examines (12.69 per cent) scored GPA –5, 54,090 (50.99 per cent) GPA-4, 20,400 (19.23 per cent).
Sources said that no examines passed in JSC exam from 12 out of 1,683 secondary schools scored cent per cent pass rate in the examinations this year.
Prof. Muhammad Shah Alamgir, controller of examinations BEB, claiming the JSC result as satisfactory said a few number of the examinees were absent in the exam halls under the board. He said girls' scored about double GPA-5 this year than the boys.
Barisal Cadet College got 50 GPA-5 out of 50 examines. Barisal Govt. Girls’ School got 256 GPA-5 out of 265.
BSS adds from Sylhet: A total of 93.59 per cent students in Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations under Sylhet Education Board (SEB) passed the examination this year.
Controller of Sylhet Education Board Abdul Mannan Khan said this at a press conference here yesterday.
A total of 1, 18,856 students passed the examinations under Sylhet Education Board this year out of 1, 26, 991 students appearing in the examination.
The number of GPA-5 achievers this year is 4,956 in four districts under the Sylhet education board.
Of the districts, the pass rate was 96.22 per cent for Sylhet, 94.55 for Habiganj, 89.20 for Moulvibazar and 93.27 for Sunamganj district. On the other hand, the result of Primary School Certificate (PSC) was published in Sylhet yesterday showing 96.79 pass percentages in Sylhet division. A total of 2 lakh 17 thousand 545 students out of 2 lakh 37 thousand 270 came out successful in the PSC examinations in Sylhet division this year.
Among the pass 7941 students got GPA-5.
