Rokeya Prachi directs new drama serial

Popular actress-director-writer Rokeya Prachi recently directed another new drama serial titled ‘Tobuo Manush Swapna Dekhe’. Written by Kamrul Ahsan, Rokeya Prachi has completed the work for 26 episodes of the drama serial. She has directed the drama serial so that it will be aired on Ekushey TV, and as soon as the airing begins, she will complete the work for 26 more episodes. She began the work with the intention of completing an overall of 52 episodes of the drama serial.
Regarding the direction of this new drama serial, Rokeya Prachi said, “The story of this drama serial is fantastic and lively. As far as my direction goes, I must say that I am not completely satisfied as I feel that it could have been a lot better. But if the viewers appreciate it, then that will be satisfying for me. Those who have worked in the drama serial gave their utmost for their parts. I myself acted in it.”
To note, recently, the first drama serial directed by Rokeya Prachi, titled ‘Selai Paribar’, was concluded on Channel i with immense positive feedback.
Rokeya Prachi acted in her first film under the direction of Morshedul Islam, titled ‘Dukhai’ and was praised for her performance. Then she appeared in various films such as Tareque Masud’s ‘Matir Moyna’, ‘Antarjatra’, Golam Rabbani Biplob’s ‘Swapna Danay’, ‘Brikkter Baire’, Anwar Shahadat’s ‘Karigar’, Goutom Gosh’s ‘Moner Manush’, Sarwar Tamiz’s ‘Chithi Ashe’, Sakhawat Hosain’s ‘Horijon’ and finally, Ashraf Shishir’s ‘Gaariwala’. The first drama that Rokeya Prachi directed is titled ‘Lutfunnesa’. Prior to that, she directed a docu-fiction along with Anwar Hossain and Rani Sarkar which was aired on Channel i. Veteran Actor-director Abul Hayat directed a tele-drama titled ‘Ghotona Prasangit’ which was written by Rokeya Prachi.  Rokeya Prachi directed Bangladesh’s only documentary on the 1952 Language Movement. She received immense praise and positive feedback for the documentary titled ’52 Er Michile’. She can regularly be seen in the ongoing SATV drama serial titled ‘Parampara’.
