RANGPUR: A 15-day cultural programme began at ‘Shashwata Bangla’, a museum of Liberation War, at Dhap in the city on Thursday evening on the occasion of Victory Day. The programme was organised by Bangladesh Army, Rangpur Area Headquarters. City Mayor Sharfuddin Ahmed inaugurated the programme as chief guest. Major General Masood Razzak, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division, Area Commander, Rangpur delivered inaugural speech. Brigadier General AKM Shamsuddin, Psc, Colonel Md Neamul Islam Fatemi, admin, Rangpur Area, Colonel Nurul Huda, principal of Rangpur Cantonment School and College and President, observation committee of the Victory Day-2015, were present, among others. Cultural organisations of eight districts of Rangpur division will participate in the cultural programme. The programmes will be held from 6pm to 10 pm everyday till December 17.
