Five Bangladesh players named in IPL auction

The organisers of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have released the final list of the players for the auction of the IPL-2020 edition yesterday.

Even if a total of 997 cricketers including local and overseas players initially enlisted their names, the IPL organisers have finalized 332-player names for the auction, which will be held in Kolkata on December 19.

Earlier, It is learnt that Mushfiqur Rahim’s name is in the final list. So, there was a wait for releasing the complete list of the players. It is learnt that there are five players from Bangladesh including Mushfiq for the IPL auction.

They are wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mustafizur Rahman, Sabbir Rahman Rumman and Mohammad Saifuddin. They will get teams depending on the wishes of the IPL franchisees.

The base price of the Mustafizur Rahman among the players has been priced more than the other players. Mustafiz, who played IPL twice, has been estimated his base price of one crore rupee.

Wicketkeeper-batsman and Mahmudullah’s base price has been fixed at 75 lakh rupee, while pace all-rounder Saifuddin and leg-spinning all-rounder Sabbir has been estimated at 50 lakh rupee as their base price.

The final list has been prepared with 332 players which has been taken 308 from 971 players and 32 from outside. It’s not that everybody will get team. Only 73 players will get teams from where 29 will come from the overseas repertoire.

Only seven players will come the category whose base price has been fixed at two crore rupee. They are Pat Cummins, Chris Lynn, Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell from Australia, while Dale Steyn of South Africa and Angelo Mathews of Sri Lanka.

Robin Uthapa along with nine

other foreign players are in the second highest category which price has been finalised by one and half crore rupee.  Piyush Chawla, Yusuf Pathan and Jaydev Unadkat couples with 20 other foreign players are in the third highest category, which price has been fixed at one crore rupee.
