‘BNP leaders waiting to quit their party’

Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif on Wednesday said senior leaders of BNP will quit their party as it has indulged in ‘negative politics’. “BNP leaders are losing confidence on top leaders as they are convicted by the court for corruption charges and terror activities. So, they (BNP leaders) are waiting to leave their party,” he told a meeting held in the conference room of deputy commissioner. Hanif said, “Awami League is doing politics for the well-being of the people…That is why, popularity of Awami League is increasing.”

Referring to information of medical board regarding health condition of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, he said health of Khaleda Zia is now stable but BNP is trying to politicize her health issue for achieving ill intention.
