Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) has almost prepared to hosts the five-nation Bangamata Asian Senior Central Zone Women’s Volleyball Championship 2019 to take place from November 9-14 in Dhaka. The four foreign participating teams, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal and Afghanistan will start to arrive from today while five-man technical delegation, from Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Iran have already been reached to conduct the matches.
General secretary of the BVF Ashikur Rahman Miku informed all to this correspondent yesterday when he said that they have already all set to make the competition success when the Bangladesh women’s volleyball team will play international matches after a long time.
Miku, when talking to this correspondent said, “After a long interval Bangladesh women’s volleyball team last played the international match in 2011 SA Games and with the five-nation Bangamata tournament, Bangladesh women’s volleyball players will re-launch their events in the international arena.”
Meanwhile, Miku, also the deputy secretary general of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA), informed that the competitions of the coming SA Games will start with the both men and women’s volleyball events on November 27.
The curtain of the 13th SA Games, the regional sports carnival will be raised on December 01, 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
