Today, on the seventh day of ongoing 10-day ‘Ganga Jamuna Cultural Festival’, Chandrakala Theatre will stage its new play ‘Sheikh Saadi’ at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in Segun Bagicha of the capital.
Based on the great Persian poet Sheikh Saadi’s grand life, the play is written by Apurba Kumar Kundu, while HR Anik directed and portrayed the role of the great poet. Hamidur Rahman Pappu directed the music while Fazle Rabbi Shukarna designed the stage.
On the other hand, theatre troupe Ahiri Bangla will stage its production titled ‘Nolok Janer Pala’, written and directed by Saik Siddiqui, today at Bangladesh Mahila Samiti in the capital’s Baily Road area.
In addition, two more plays will be staged at two different venues of BSA--National Theatre Hall and Studio Theatre Hall this evening as part of the festival.
All four plays will be staged at 7pm simultaneously.
