AIUB Business Club
AIUB Business Club (ABC) is a student organisation of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). ABC is a learning organisation where a group of selected undergraduate business students of AIUB is working together in different departments and teams to arrange various career development events, competitions, fieldtrips, and help to create a bond between students of similar interest through sharing of individual knowledge, ideas, and creativity. Founded in 13 April 2009, it one of the most active clubs of AIUB.
ABC is very innovative and trendsetter student organisation achieved lots of attention within a short time. They are a team of highly energetic and future oriented young business students who wants to boost individual skills by sharing of thoughts and expertise with each other. Their management system and organisational culture provides an official corporate ambiance from where their members can learn to adjust with such environment for their future career.
AIUB Business Club regularly organises several business related programmes.
In 2009 they organised an Internal Business Quiz Competition for its members at AIUB Auditorium. The competition was a part of the ABC Members Day, a day-long programme with some training and development activities.
To unleash the business potentials and creativity AIUB Business Club (ABC) introduced a new concept of contest and exhibition titled My Dream Business, held on April 2010 at AIUB Business School campus. The ABC members presented their business ideas and outlined their future business plans that amused the visitors, students, and teachers. All the 25 projects outlined some common points: business name, logo, slogan, mission and vision, business type, organisational structure, target market, business locations, number of employees, office and plant exterior-interior photos, and product or service photos. Participants got constructive criticisms and valuable suggestions from the faculty members of AIUB Business School about their projects which will make their dream-business more realistic and feasible.
AIUB Business Club regularly organises AIUB Business Talents competition. It is an annual event organised by ABC since 2009. This is an Intra AIUB case solving and business plan contest which aims to provide an integrated learning experience to bring out the analytical and real world business plan creation skills among participating students of the business administration and to prepare them for the local and international business contests.
AIUB organised Job Fair in 2011 exclusively for AIUB students and Alumni only. Like every year, this event was organised by Office of Placement and Alumni (OPA) and AIUB Business Club (ABC). On 9th November 2013 , ABC rejoiced the commemoration of their Members Day and Graduation Party, signifying another milestone in their strive for putting leadership into practice. The event paid tribute to the ABC alumni members who contributed greatly in shaping the identity of AIUB Business Club.
ABC believes that an entrepreneur is better than an employee as he creates new employment opportunities, dreams big that affects the society as a whole.
