‘Ke Hobe Masud Rana’ goes on air today

Masud Rana one of the most popular fictional characters the readers of Bengali literature have ever come across. Qazi Anwar Hussain is the creator and author of Masud Rana, who has featured the character in over 450 novels. Though the adult spy-thriller series written under the shadow of James Bond—a series focuses on a fictional British Secret Service agent, the Bangladeshi Masud Rana has got its own idiosyncrasy.   

In the series, Masud Rana is an international espionage agent of Bangladesh Counter Intelligent. He travels all around the world with secret missions. He lives a mysterious life. He attracts everyone, but never falls in any relationship. Whenever he sees any injustice, he fights back.

For the very first time, a full-length feature film based on this iconic character is going to be made in multiple languages. The film will be produced jointly by Jaaz Multimedia, one of the biggest production houses in Bangladesh, and three other international production houses.

In search of a hero for the film ‘Masud Rana’, a reality show titled ‘Men’s Fair & Lovely Channel i Hero—Ke Hobe Masud Rana’ is set to go on air today.

With the dream of becoming Masud Rana, more than 12 thousand youngsters registered to participate in the contest. With a group of finest candidates, who were selected after the primary screening and various physical and intelligence tests, the reality show has started and after the completion of this season, the long-awaited face of Masud Rana will be revealed.

With the main judges, Ferdous and Purnima, the different episodes of the show will be attended by Afzal Hossain, Mostafa Sarwar Farooki, Apu Biswas and Bidya Sinha Mim as the guest judges.

Anchored by Maria Nur and directed by Tania Hossain, the reality show ‘Ke Hobe Masud Rana’ will be aired every Friday and Sunday at 8pm on Channel i. l
