On the eve of International Surfing Day, a new film titled ‘Nodorai’ (Dare to Surf) inspired by the true story from the life of a woman surfer of Bangladesh, officially unveiled its new poster and teaser at a press conference held at Star Cinplex of Bashundhara Shopping Mall in the capital on Thursday.
Making it the country’s first full-length Bengali film about surfing, the script of the film ‘Nodorai’ is written by Indian scriptwriter Shamol Sengupta and directed by Tanim Rahman. Chairman of Star Cineplex, Mahboob Rahman has produced this film.
The film is about the life story of a young woman Surfer from Cox’s Bazaar who wants to surf in the sea, but due to her surroundings, she faces challenges not only in the sea, but also in the society she lives.
The film ‘Nodorai’ stars Sunerah Binte Kamal, Md. Shaidul Islam and Sariful Razz among others in different roles. Most of the film’s shooting took place in Cox’s Bazar. The film will likely to have its countrywide release in the month of October this year.
