Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on bone marrow transplantation yesterday.
The MoU signing programme was held at Dr Miltan Hall at BSMMU in the capital where BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Dr Kanak Kanti Barua was present as the chief guest, said a press release.
BSMMU Pro VC (Admin) Professor Dr Muhammad Rafikul Alam, Registrar Prof Dr ABM Abdul Hannan and DMCH Director Brigadier General Mohammad Mizanur Rahman and Tata Memorial Centre Director (Academics) Prof S Banabhali and Prof of Pathology department Sumit Guzral were present.
The bone marrow transplantation is effective way for treatment of complicated diseases like Thalassemia and Blood Cancer.
