Audience-admired duo Ferdous and Moushumi starrer new film titled ‘Postmaster 71’ released in the capital’s Bashundhara Star Cineplex and Jamuna Blockbuster Cinemas yesterday. Alongside, on the same day the film’s world TV premiere took place on Channel i in the evening.
Produced by Impress Telefilms, ‘Postmaster 71’ is jointly directed by Abir Khan and Rashed Shamim Sam.
The film’s story is set in 1971 and centres on the life of a postmaster during the Liberation War of Bangladesh.
The postmaster named Arif (played by Ferdous), receives a letter where he is asked to inspire others from his village to fight for the country. While he starts to do that and sends people to war, a Rajakar name Gulzar got the news and he along with his army attacks the postmaster.
The story of the film moves forward with the burning question whether the postmaster will be able to complete his mission or not.
Besides Moushumi and Ferdous, Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Amit Hasan, Sanjid Khan Prince, Nijhum, Mansur and many others have acted in the film.
