BSA celebrates Nabanna Utsab today

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is planning to observe Nabanna Utsab at the academy premises on Pahela Agrahayan (November 15). The programme will begin today at 5:30pm with a discussion where poet Asad Chowdhury will be present as discussant. BSA director general Liaquat Ali Lucky will preside over the event.

After the discussion, a cultural segment will begin with a chorus rendition ‘Dhana Dhanya Puspe Bhora’ by the Music Department of Jagannath University. Shama Rahman, Yasmin Mustari, Anima Roy, Bijon Chandra Mistri, Chandona Majumdar, Abu Bakar Siddique, Munira Baula, Kangalini Sufia, Anima Mukti Gomes and Ajgor Alim will take part in solo rendition, while Shimul Mustapha will recite poems.

The programme will also feature group dance performances led by Farhana Chowdhury Baby, Golam Mostafa and Deepa Khandakar.
