Bangladesh Badminton Federation is set to organise two international tournaments in coming December including, ‘Yonex-Sunrise Bangladesh International Badminton Challenge-2018’ and ‘Yonex-Sunrise Bangladesh International Junior Badminton- 2018’ at the capital’s Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium.
In association with Badminton World Federation and Badminton Asia, the senior tournament will be held on December 11-16 and the junior tournament being held on December 18-23.
Bangladesh Badminton Federation will provide special support and train country’s top ranked shuttlers for the upcoming international tournaments. The technical sub-committee of the badminton federation also took a unanimous decision to organise a national training camp for both senior and junior players.
Top ranked senior players Gaurav Singh, Mangal Singh, Shuvo Khandakar, Tushar Krishna Roy, Zumar Al-Amin, Ariful Islam Tuhin, Ahsan Habib Porosh, Sibgat Ullah, Elina Sultana, Shapla Akter, Bristy Khatun and Rehana Khatun along with top junior player Lokman, Hanif, Rajesh, Nayeem, Suad, Urmi, Reshma, Priya and Camelia will start their training under the Malaysian coach Arvind Verma Jeeva Nanthan from the first of November.
