Working as a goodwill ambassador of UNICEF for the last few years, popular film actress and director Arifa Parvin Moushumi has taken part in various social activities, from her position as an actress. Now the actress will be seen taking part in the campaign of the International Labour Organization (ILO) titled ‘Jeney Meney Bidesh Jai’ (Going abroad after knowing and following the rules).
The campaign ‘Jeney Meney Bidesh Jai’ is aimed at creating and promoting awareness among migrant workers while taking up employment outside the country.
DhakaLive has news that under the direction of Rahmatullah Tuhin, Mousumi participated in the shooting of the campaign last Wednesday.
A tele-drama titled ‘Bidesh Babu’ written by Ayon Chowdhury, starring Sabbir Ahmed, Farzana Rikta and Nilabh in lead roles has already been produced by director Rahmatullah Tuhin to support the campaign.
About her role in the campaing, Moushumi said, “This is actually for creating social awareness. With lots of sincerity from my position, I have done this work so that everyone can be benefited. Many people in our country go abroad without knowing the proper rules for employment abroad. I have done this work to create awareness among them. I will be happy if anyone from the country goes abroad after seeing this work and is able to abide by the rules and does not make any mistake.”
The campaign video of ‘Jeney Meney Bidesh Jai’ is scheduled to be launched on small screen after the broadcast of the tele-drama ‘Bidesh Babu’ next month. Later, the campaign video can be seen in various satellite channels of the country, informed the director himself.
