KOICA awards scholarships to govt officials
Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has awarded six Bangladeshi government officials from BIRRI, NBR, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Fisheries Livestock and Ministry of Women and Children Affairs to earn Masters degrees in Korea this year, says a press release. The fully funded scholarships are offered as a part of KOICAs Fellowship Programme was introduced to enhance human resource capacity of the countrys public institutions.
Joe Hyun-Gue, Country Director of KOICA Bangladesh Office hosted the awardees and formally handed over the scholarships to all six esteemed Bangladeshi public officials at the pre-departure orientation ceremony held on Thursday.
In addition to extending his heartiest congratulations, he further encouraged the officials to act as a bridge between Korea and Bangladesh to strengthen its partnership.
The candidates will pursue their 2 year long degrees in Koreas renowned universities in disciplines namely, agricultural economics, fisheries science, community development, gender equality leadership and finance and tax policy.
