11 DIG-level police officers transferred

The government has carried out a reshuffle in the police administration by transferring 11 deputy inspectors general (DIGs) and additional deputy inspectors general yesterday. Among them, the DIG of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Md Lutfar Rahman Mandol, has been transferred as the DIG, Armed Police Battalion (APBN). The DIG of the Special Branch (SB) of police, Mollick Fakhrul Islam, has been made the DIG of Tourist Police; additional DIG of the CID, Md Shah Alam, has been transferred as the DIG (current charge) of the CID; additional DIG of the SB, Md Tawfique Mahbub Chowdhury, has been transferred as the DIG (current charge) of the SB; joint commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Krishna Pada Roy has been made the additional police commissioner (current charge) of the DMP; additional DIG of Rangpur Range, Bashir Ahmed, has been transferred as the DIG (current charge) of the Police Headquarters; additional DIG of the Police Headquarters, Habibur Rahman, has been made the DIG (current charge) of the Police Headquarters; additional DIG of Dhaka Range, Md Anwar Hossain, has been transferred as the DIG (current charge) of the Police Headquarters; additional DIG of the Police Headquarters, AKM Hafiz Akter, has been transferred as the police commissioner (current charge) of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP); additional DIG of the Police Headquarters, Dr Kha Mohid Uddin, has been transferred as the DIG (current charge) of the Police Headquarters, and the joint police commissioner of the DMP, Md Abdul Baten, has been made the additional police commissioner (current charge) of CID.

The Public Security Service Division of the home ministry issued a notification in this regard yesterday.
