Proud mothers of Kumar Biswajit and Mim to be honoured today

On the occasion of the International Mothers Day, Universal Medical College Hospital has arranged the Gorbini Ma (Proud Mother) award ceremony for the fifth time at the Rawa Convention Centre in the capitals Moakhali DOHS area on 11am today.
In this fifth instalment of the event, the proud mothers who will be honoured with the award are Shova Rani Dey, mother of noted evergreen singer Kumar Biswajit and Chobi Saha, mother of National Film Award-winning actress Bidya Sinha Saha Mim.
Managing Director of Universal Medical College Hospital Ashis Kumar Chakraborty confirmed abut the event.
Like the previous years, this award will be handed out to honour the mothers of artistes who contributed immensely to the entertainment arena of the country.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal will attend the award ceremony as chief guest and hand over the award to the mothers.
Kumar Biswajit, feeling proud of this achievement, said, It was my mothers wish to see me as a singer. A mother getting honoured because of her child is a proud moment for the child and I am feeling that pride as my mother is receiving the award because of me.
After receiving the news, I am feeling so much delighted as I know that I have really done something for the music industry by receiving this honour through my mother. This is the true meaning of joy and all I want from everyone is to pray for my mother as she blissfully passed 80 years of her life, he added.
Mim jubilantly shared, It is an utter delight for me to see that because of my career advancement, my mother is getting honoured and the feeling cannot be expressed by words. My parents are the main reason behind my success.
My mother was always beside me, encouraged to take challenges to keep me moving forward. My father also had contributed to some extent and in fact, without his help, my mother would not have done it alone, she added.
