Art collection show �Figuration� begins at Bengal Gallery today

Exhibition features collection of Bengal Foundation and Abul Khair

The inauguration of a 16-day exhibition titled ‘Figuration’ featuring art collections from Bengal Foundation and eminent art collector Abul Khair will be held today at 6pm at the Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts in the city’s Dhanmondi area.  A total number of 30 artworks, those have been collected from 17 artists from Bangladesh and India will be showcased in the exhibition. The artists are Abdus Sattar, Aminul Islam, Bijan Choudhury, Haren Das, Kalidas Karmakar, Kazi Abdul Baset, Murtaja Baseer, Nazlee Laila Monsur, Quamrul Hassan, Qayyum Chowdhury, Rafiqun Nabi, Ramkinkar Baij, Rokeya Sultana, Safiuddin Ahmed, Shahid Kabir, Shishir Bhattacharjee and Zainul Abedin.
The exhibition will remain open to all everyday from 12pm to 8pm, until September 20.
