Autobiography of Tawfiq-e-Elahi launched

The publication ceremony of 'Chariot of Life: Liberation War, Politics and Sojourn in Jail', an autobiographical work by Dr Tawfiq-e- Elahi Chowdhury was held at Jatiya Press Club here on Friday, reports UNB. The publisher of the book, Srabon publication, organised the book launching ceremony which was also unveiled by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on February 8. Speaking as the chief guest, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abul Muhith said, “My comment is that the book was written beautifully. It is good for reading and the style of presentation is also excellent and the style of presentation is beautiful.” Muhith's said, “I would like to make a comment on other things.  This is an English book. It's a piece of good literature... very good piece of literature.”

Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury said, “I tried to write what I had exactly witnessed. I tried to tell something for the next generation.” Syed Ishtiaque Reza termed it as the proper reply to the vested group who are trying to making the debate about the liberation war.
