Sirajul Islam, Shabnam Mustari get Nazrul Award

The Nazrul Institute yesterday organised a discussion followed by an award-giving ceremony at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy auditorium in observance of the 39th death anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, reports BSS. The programme was featured by a discussion on the poems and works of the legendary poet. Eminent researchers and personalities took part in the discussion. Nazrul Award-2014 was conferred to Professor Emeritus Sirajul Islam Choudhury and eminent singer Shabnam Mustari. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor addressed the programme as the chief guest and handed over the Nazrul Award to the recipients. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General Liyakat Ali Lucky chaired the programme.
