A woman has filed a general diary with the Paschimbanga police for the sexual assault on her by the member of the Border Security Force (BSF) in the Kolkata-Dhaka Moitree Express train on Monday, BBC Bangla reports. When the woman came back to her husband and informed the matter, her husband brought the matter told the incident to the ticket examiner. Later a FIR was filed when the train reached Gede.
East railway spokesman Rabi Mahapatar confirmed the incident to BBC Bangla. “A FIR has been filed against a BSF member. The railway police has started investigation of the incident where the matter occurred,” Mahapatra said.
BSF authority said they have also come to know about the sexual harassment of the woman. A senior official of BSF south said they have started investigation after getting the serious allegation. Earlier the train was under the supervision of rail security force and rail police for its security but now the BSF has taken the task.
