Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) is set to arrange the ‘BEPZA International Investors Summit 2018’ at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital tomorrow, reports BSS
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the conference, said a press release yesterday.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the BEPZA Economic Zone through a video-conferencing. She will visit different stalls set up at the summit.
The objectives of the summit is to inform people about the successes of BEPZA in last few years under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as well as showcase the achievement in the country’s investment, exports and employment through BEPZA.
The summit will focus on special role of BEPZA in strengthening the economic base of the country through a peaceful environment-friendly industrial atmosphere, industrialisation, national export and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Office (PMO) M Nojibur Rahman and Principal Coordinator (SDGs) to PMO Abul Kalam Azad will be present at the inaugural session of the summit.
