Impress releases two Rabindra Sangeet albums

On the occasion of the 74th death anniversary of Nobel Laureate Poet Rabindranath Tagore, two new Rabindra Sangeet albums by renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer Rezwana Chowdhury Bonna and newbie singer Merina Showkat Ali have been brought to the audio market by Impress Audio Vision recently. Rezwana Chowdhury Bonna’s album titled ‘Badol Dharar Jhor Jhore’ contains 10 Tagore tracks on the monsoon. The tracks are—‘Kodomberoi Kanon Gheri’, ‘Bojro Manik Diye Gatha’, ‘Amar Nishitho Raater Badol Dhara’, ‘Onek Kotha Bolechhilam’, ‘Dhoronir Gogoner Miloner Chhonde’, ‘Kotha Je Udhao Holo’, ‘Hridaye Mondrilo Damaru Guru Guru’, ‘Pub Hawate Dey Dola’, ‘Nupur Beje Jay Rini Rini’, and ‘Ami Shrabon Akashe Oi Diyechhi Pati’. Recoding of the songs was completed in Kolkata, while the music arrangement of the album was done by Pratyush Bandyopadhyay.
The other album ‘Obak Hoye Shuni Kebol Shuni’ by Merina Showkat Ali contains 9 popular number of Tagore songs, such as ‘Anondoloke Mongolaloke’, ‘Shokatore Oi Kadiche Shokole’, ‘Sokhi Bhabona Kahare Bole’, ‘Jokhon Porbe Na Mor Payer Chinho’, ‘Purano Sei Diner Kotha’ ‘Tumi Kemon Kore Gaan Koro’, ‘Tumi Robe Nirobe’, ‘Jodi Tor Dak Shune’, and ‘Bhora Thak Smriti Sudhay’. The music arrangement of the album has been done by Mir Masum.
