Shirin Bokul has her hands full with films, tele-dramas

Audience-admired actress Shirin Bokul, well known for her immense contributions with theatre troupe ‘Theatre’ and Nagorik Natya Sampradaya and several notable tele-dramas, is currently busy with some upcoming films and tele-dramas. At the moment, the actress is working in two different drama-serials titled ‘Dosh Feet by Dosh Feet’ by Sardar Rokon and ‘Megher Bela’ by Kafi Bir.
Alongside these drama serials, the actress is also awaiting the release of the films ‘Purnodoirgha Prem Kahini-2’(title is subject to change), directed by Safiuddin Safi and ‘Ey Golpe Bhalobasha Nei’, directed by Royel Khan.
In addition, she is also regularly seen in the daily soap ‘Joyita’ by Lutfunnahar Mousumi on Boishakhi TV, ‘ Shonghat’ by Sajjad Hussain Dudul, drama serial ‘Nandini’ by Hasan Jahangir, ‘Jiboner Aligali’ by Fazlur Rahman on ATN Bangla and ‘Mujib Nagar Er Sabu’ by Joynal Abedin Sarkar on BTV.
To note, Shirin Bokul, hailing from Munsiganj, acted on behalf of theatre troupe ‘Theatre’ (Tophkhana) in Tarik Anam Khan-directed ‘Palabadal’ in 1986, and as part of that troupe, she also acted in ‘Juddho Ebong Juddho’, ‘Tomray’, ‘Beesh Rokkhar Chhuri’ and various other dramas. She has been associated with the troupe for a decade and then associated herself with  Nagorik Natya Sampradaya. Her notable drama serials on TV are ‘Anowara’, by Sheikh Riazuddin Badsha, which was her first television drama, ‘Granthik Gono Kahe’, ‘Sangsapto’ by Abdullah Al Mamun and ‘Baro Rokomer Manushera’ by Alauddin Ahmed.
On another note, last Eid, Shirin Bokul-acted film ‘Love Marriage’, directed by Shaheen Sumon, was released in which the actress portrayed popular actor Shakib Khan’s mother. l
