Newly-formed children’s troupe stages ‘Obak Jolpan’

A newly-formed children’s theatre group of Bangladesh Shishu Academy staged their maiden production ‘Obak Jolpan’ written by Sukumar Roy on the academy premises in the capital on Monday.

State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki attended the premiere show of the play as the chief guest, while Women and Children Affairs Secretary Nasima Begum was present as a special guest on the occasion.

Chaired by Shishu Academy chairman writer Selina Hossain, director of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Anzir Liton delivered the welcome speech at the programme.

After staging the play, trainees of the Chittagong District Shishu Academy played tabla in the programme.
