‘Miss World Bangladesh 2017’ launched

Miss World is a world-renowned beauty pageant competition. Antar Showbiz and Omikon Entertainment have brought the franchise of Miss World Bangladesh for the first time in this country. Registration of the first selection round of the contest is starting from today. The next audition round and the TV round of this competition will begin on September 1 and the final gala round will be held on 29 September after completing the other rounds.

Attending the launching ceremony of ‘Miss World Bangladesh 2017’ as the chief guest at a city hotel yesterday, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu appreciated the initiative. He also invited everyone to take such positive initiative for women empowerment in Bangladesh.

Among the organisers presented on the occasion, Engineer Mehedi Hasan, Chairman of Omikon Entertainment, said, “This event will set a bright example of women empowerment and independence in Bangladesh. The Miss World Bangladesh 2017 is a platform to prove individuality and the latent talent of women in Bangladesh.”

Swapan Chowdhury, Chairman, Anotor Showbiz, said, “The winner of Miss World Bangladesh will represent Bangladesh to the global platform. This occasion is also a great opportunity to uphold the glory and pride of the national flag of Bangladesh in the international arena”.
