The second death anniversary of Maj Gen (retd) Amjad Khan Chowdhury, founder of PRAN-RFL group, will be observed today (Saturday), reports UNB.

Milad and doa mahfil will be held at the group's head office in the capital and factories across the country on the occasion of his second death anniversary.

Visionary entrepreneur and industrialist Amjad Khan Chowdhury breathed his last in the USA on July 8, 2015.

He was born in Natore on 10 November in 1939 and left the Bangladesh Army in 1981 to start the journey of PRAN-RFL Group, now one of the leading conglomerates in Bangladesh, that started its journey as the Rangpur Foundry Limited.

PRAN-RFL Group is now exporting its products to 134 countries around the globe and around 94 thousand people are working directly in the group, said a press release on Thursday.
