A total of 388 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in six districts of the division on Friday, taking the caseload to 1,08,108 since the pandemic began in March, 2020.
The new positive cases are showing a significant falling trend compared to the previous day's figure of 1,121, said Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, divisional director of health.
The death toll reached 1,701, including 691 in Bogura, 328 in Rajshahi with 210 in its city and 175 in Natore as one new fatality was reported during the past 24 hours, Dr Talukder added.
Meanwhile, the recovery count rose to 98,063 in the division after 152 patients were discharged from the hospitals on the same day.
