A fire that broke out on the 14th floor of a 17-storey building in the D block of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital has been brought under control.
"The fire started at 6:21 pm and soon after receiving the news five units of the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 6:40am," deputy assistant director of the fire service headquarters Shahjahan Sikder told BSS.
There were no casualties yet, said Mohammad Shahjahan Sikder, media officer in charge of "The Life Saving Force".
