�Skill dev a must for ensuring e-service�

RAJSHAHI: Skill development of all the officials concerned has become an urgent need for ensuring e-services at peoples' doorstep for a proper reflection of their hopes and aspiration, high administrative officials at a meeting here said yesterday, reports BSS. They viewed the present government has adopted multifarious measures for reaching the e-services to the grassroots people. All the officials of the field administration should discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty so that the people can derive total benefits of the modern services. They were addressing the Rajshahi Divisional Innovation Circle at Circuit House conference hall in Rajshahi city. Commissioner office of Rajshahi Division and Cabinet Division jointly organised the meeting in association with Access to Information (A2I) Project of the Prime
Minister's Office (PMO). UNDP and USAID supported the meeting. Secretary to Health and Family Welfare Ministry Syed Monzurul Islam and Additional Secretary to Cabinet Division Moin Uddin addressed the programme as chief and special guests respectively with Helaluddin Ahmed, Commissioner of Rajshahi division, in the chair.
Divisional Commissioner Helaluddin Ahmed presented a paper on 'Innovation Progress and Annual Work Plan' in the division. Additional Commissioner Munir Hossain welcomed the participants.
Earlier, Capacity Development Specialist of the A2I Project Manik Mahmud discussed practicing innovation at public administration, potentials and doings while eight deputy commissioners of Rajshahi division presented progress in various innovation actions and action plans.
The innovation projects developed by the eight districts of Rajshahi division were presented in the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting chief guest Syed Monzurul Islam said that the government officers have progressed a lot in the field of information technology and added that the Prime Minister inaugurates different projects through video conference in her absence from the functions.
"Gross income and growth rates are increasing and all these are done for keeping people's life easy and happy. As a country we are in a better position," he added.
