We're in the throes of autumn and soon enough, winter will be knocking at our doors.

There's a lot to love about winter; from its spectacular layered fashion to its cozy atmosphere that can't be rivaled by any other season.

There's are also grouses to have with the season of winter and they tend to be specifically revolving around beauty.

It's during the chilly months that multiple beauty problems crop especially, especially for those who have combination and dry skin.

Issues like flaking, itching, rashes and peeling are a frequent feature seen during the winter months.

However all is not list. There are ways for dry skin to win at winter which don't involve staying tucked in the house with the windows closed. When you've got the best ingredients for dry skin involved in your skincare routine, you can trust them to work their magic on your skin.

When it comes to delivering them straight to your skin, how does one do that?

4. Vitamin E

Vitamin E is present in many different substances such as almond oil, sunflower seeds and avocados. Hence consuming them is another great way to get more benefit of it. Vitamin E is also present in skincare products because of how it protects from the drying effects of free radicals and boosts moisture levels of the skin.

5. Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil makes it to our list because of how unique it is. Dry skin may bear majority of the brunt of winter skincare problems but that doesn't mean every skin type doesn't.

Jojoba oil mimics naturally produced sebum so it suits even oily and combination skin types.

It nourishes naturally and is lightweight on the skin's surface without any residual greasiness.

6. Ceramides

Ceramides are fatty molecules located within the skin itself. They form part of the barrier so as to prevent transepidermal water loss.

Hence adding ceramides to your beauty routine can do a world of good. Ceramides make skin supple and soft by keeping hydration securely within itself.

They also reduce the effect of inflammation and irritation seen in conditions like eczema, flaking and peeling.
