Commodore Golam Sadeq made new BIWTA chief

Commodore Golam Sadeq, an officer of Bangladesh Navy, has been made the new chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).

He took over the charge from outgoing chairman Commodore Mahbubul Islam yesterday, said a press release.

The new chairman will carry out the responsibility on deputation from the Bangladesh Navy. The immediate past BIWTA chairman Commodore Mahbubul Islam handed over the office responsibilities to Sadeq at BIWTA’s chairman’s Motijheel office in the capital and introduced him to the officials, the release said.

The new BIWTA chief has sought support from everyone for further development of the organisation, the press release added.
